I will be the first to admit I’m not the greatest
housekeeper but I do like to refresh my décor every now and then and it really
can be done with very little money. A few new décor items go a long way and
once you have a few stored away from yard sales, consignment shops, thrift
stores, etc. it is so easy to change your décor from season to season.
- Change Your Décor Pillows: Pillows are an easy change and it adds color and accents for any season. In the fall go with fall colors or darker colors at least. TIP: Throw your pillows in the dryer with a fabric sheet it will freshen your pillows.
- Shelves: If you have shelves in your living room reorganize your shelves and add different photos to your frames, you will be surprised how little changes make a huge difference.
- Scented Candles: Add a large scented candle on each end table, it will scent your room when you light them and they will also do double duty as lovely décor.
- Slipcovers: Add slip covers to your sofa, loveseat, and chairs it will change the color schemes very easily and refreshen your living room. It’s like buying new furniture for your space without the huge cost. It you don’t have the money for slip covers no problem pull out a nice sheet in a great color of your choice and tuck under the pillows.
- Rearrange Your Furniture: Just by changing the placement of your furniture can make all the difference. Make a diagram how you would like to place your furniture before you do the heavy moving through or get help from your older kids or spouse. Instant revamp!
- Rearrange the photos or pictures on your walls: There are so many site s that help with picture placement and some have very unique ways to display your photos. An easy way to refresh your room is to change what you see on your walls.
